In the market, there are 3 main kinds of pur adhesive for edgebanding machine: Granular, cartridge and tank form. Quality is the same but packing and instruction is different. All have own advantage and disadvantage.
1, Pur adhesive in Granular form
Advantage: It can use in EVA edgebanding machine. No need to change EVA edgebander too much to use Pur. Packing is normal small, 1-2kg/pack or bag, easy to use
Disadvantage: after using pur glue, we have to clean all pur glue remaining in glue pot. It is quite difficult. In bad cases, it can damage glue pot and some parts of edgebanding machine.
2, Pur adhesive in cartridge form
This form normally use in Holzher edgebanding machine. Advantage is so clean and save glue when compare to granular pur form. Disadvantage is only used in Holzher edgebander and some other kind of edgebanding machine. this form is not popular as granular form.
3, Pur adhesive in tank 20-22kg
advantage is so big and can use in long time before we need to change glue tank, save time and not interrupte production line. The second advantage is glue is keep in tank and pump system, keep pur glue separate from mosture. It will help pur adhesive can use in long time and no need to use cleaning agent to clean pur after using.
The only disadvantage is money. Edgebanding machine need to intergrate outside pur pump system and it cost more money.
